Free “No Child Left Inside” event explores CYC sports sampler
Mayor Mark Peterson invites Concord families to join him for a free Sports Sampler at Concord’s Community Youth Center (CYC), 2241 Galaxy Court on Saturday, Dec. 1 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This is the final of four free ‘No Child Left Inside’ activities led by Peterson in 2007 aimed at improving the health and fitness of Concord’s children. At the event, youngsters will be able to explore the many individual sports and fitness opportunities that the CYC offers including:
- Gymnastics
- Rhythmic gymnastics
- Dance
- Boxing
- Wrestling
- Taekwondo
- Judo
- Sport-specific conditioning
- Cheerleading
CYC also offers an Academic Excellence program that provides additional academic support for young students.
