Appointment To Concord’s Planning Commission
At its meeting on November 27, 2007, the Concord City Council appointed Ronald Leone to the Planning Commission for a term ending February 28, 2009, to fill the unscheduled vacancy that was created when Guy Bjerke was appointed to the City Council.
The five-member Planning Commission develops and maintains the General Plan of the Concord planning area; makes recommendations to the City Council regarding proposed General Plan amendments and municipal code modifications; reviews planned district developments, tentative subdivision maps, and use permit applications; additional duties may include formulation and review of physical design projects in the Redevelopment Area and recommendations to the Redevelopment Agency Board regarding compliance with General Plan and Redevelopment Plans.
