Concord seeks applicants for Community Leadership Academy
The City of Concord is taking applications from individuals interested in attending its Community Leadership Academy. The first academy session, which includes a tour of the city, will be held on Saturday, Feb. 23 beginning at 10 a.m. Five additional sessions will be held on Thursday evenings from Feb. 28 through March 27 at the Concord Civic Center, 1950 Parkside Dr., and will run from 7 to 9:30 p.m.
The Community Leadership Academy is designed to increase participants’ understanding of local government, review the City’s community-oriented approach to governance, offer information on services and programs offered by the City and provide a chance to meet program managers and directors.
Applications are available by calling the Administrative Services division at (925) 671-3295. The deadline for applications is Friday, Feb. 15.
