Get out of town… to Camp Concord at South Lake Tahoe

Families looking for a stimulating summer camping experience can register beginning Monday, Feb. 25 for Camp Concord at South Lake Tahoe, a program operated by the City of Concord Community and Recreation Services. Camp Concord is located between Lake Tahoe and Fallen Leaf Lake, high in the Sierras.

Family Camp is open from June 15 to Aug. 2 and on Labor Day Weekend, Aug. 29 to Sept. 1.

For over 40 years, the City of Concord has offered families the spectacular scenery of the El Dorado National Forest and the excitement of the great outdoors.  Family Camp at Camp Concord offers something of interest for all ages.  Campers can choose to participate in organized camp activities or explore the Lake Tahoe Basin on their own, returning to a hot meal, hot shower and a rustic and comfortable cabin.

Trained staff offers campfires, canoeing, swimming, volleyball, brunch on the beach and other activities. Families register for camp by the day, providing flexibility for a weekend stay or a longer visit.

For more information and available dates, contact the City of Concord’s Community and Recreation Services Department at (925) 671-3273. The Camp Concord brochure is available online at www.campconcord.org.
