Workshop offers glimpse into tree climber's world

The City of Concord and the California Arborist Association will present a Beginning Tree Climbing Workshop at Markham Nature Park (south end of La Vista Ave. off of Clayton Road) in Concord on Friday June 5 from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Visitors are welcome to observe as tree care professionals from all over the Bay Area hone their skills in limb walking, tree climbing and aerial rescue.

Instructors for the day include John Traverso of Traverso Tree Service, Gary and Jared Arbojena of Evergreen Tree Care, and past Western Chapter ISA Climbing champions.
