Adults can find fun at recess too
Concord, CA (Jan. 25, 2010) - Concord Community and Recreation Services is offering a new class called "Recess - It's Not Just For Kids" on Tuesdays, Feb. 2 and March 2 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Centre Concord, 5298 Clayton Road.
The facilitator, Karen St. Julien, asks participants to remember how much they enjoyed recess as a kid. It was their opportunity to play with friends and have some fun. In today's stressful world, she believes we need to do the same thing to maintain a positive outlook.
St. Julien was a tour manager for 12 years, creating fun and excitement for thousands of people. She promises to have participants laughing, playing, and enjoying themselves, while celebrating who they are, identifying the "hero within," remembering their personal worth, transforming negative thinking into positive thinking, and creating a gratitude inventory.
For more information or to register for the class, call Concord Community and Recreation Services at (925) 671-3404 or online at www.concordreg.org.
