Concord City offices closed two days in September
City of Concord offices will be closed for two days in September. On Monday, Sept. 6, offices will be closed for Labor Day. On Friday, Sept. 24, offices will be closed for an unpaid furlough day.
City employees will take 13 unpaid furlough days in the 2010-11 fiscal year. Offices will be closed for additional furlough days Oct. 22, Nov. 22-24, Dec. 23 and Dec. 27-30. Scheduled 2011 furlough days are March 25 and April 22.
Offices to be closed include the Civic Center complex (1950 Parkside Drive), Public Works (1455 Gasoline Alley), Engineering (2151 Salvio St.), the Concord Senior Center (2727 Parkside Circle), Concord Community Pool (3501 Cowell Rd.), the Police Southern District Office (1500 Monument Blvd., #17), and Police Headquarters (1350 Galindo St.). Police patrol and dispatch operations will not be affected by the closure.
Centre Concord (5298 Clayton Rd.) and Willow Pass Community Center (2748 East Olivera Rd.) will be closed except for previously scheduled events and classes. Diablo Creek Golf Course will remain open.
