Christian music festival coming to Concord Pavilion

Spirit of the West Coast, a one-day Christian music festival, will come to the Concord Pavilion on Sunday, June 14 beginning at 3 p.m. The line-up includes Toby Mac, Hillsong Young and Free, For King and Country, Mandisa, Trip Lee, Jon Foreman and other acts to be announced. Tickets go on sale Thursday Feb. 12 through livenation.com or ticketmaster.com. There is a $10 per car charge for this event.

Concord residents would ordinarily be able to purchase presale tickets at the Pavilion box office the day before tickets go on sale to the general public. Unfortunately, the box office is closed for renovation. As an alternative, the Pavilion will hold a limited number of tickets to the music festival in each price range for Concord residents. These tickets will go on sale at the Pavilion box office on Saturday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tickets set aside for the following shows will also be available April 11: Tony Bennett/Lady Gaga (May 28), Fall Out Boy (Aug. 4), Idina Menzel (Aug. 7) and Slipnot (Aug. 26).

The presale ticket program is one of the benefits for Concord residents included in the recent contract between Live Nation and the City of Concord. To participate, residents must bring a utility bill and driver's license (or other government-issued ID) with matching addresses to the box office, located at the entrance to the facility at 2000 Kirker Pass Road. The resident hotline number is (925) 363-5701.

For general Pavilion information, call (925) 676-8742.
