Deadline extended for Measure Q Oversight Committee

The Concord City Council encourages residents to apply for openings on the Measure Q Oversight Committee. The deadline for applications to be received by the City Clerk has been extended to Friday, March 13, at 5 p.m.

Measure Q, the half-cent sales tax measure, was passed by Concord voters in 2010 and renewed in 2014. The five-member Measure Q Oversight Committee provides recommendations to the City Council on the use of Measure Q revenue and reviews the City's annual audit report related to Measure Q as well as producing a report that is presented annually at a City Council meeting. The committee must include at least one member representing the business community, at least three Concord residents, with the fifth member from either category. The committee meets three to six times annually from February through June to coincide with the City's budget cycle.

Applications may be obtained from the City Clerk's Office, 1950 Parkside Drive, or requested by calling (925) 671-3495. Application forms are also available on the City's website at www.cityofconcord.org/BCApplications.
