National Night Out 2017 at Concord Library


National Night Out will be celebrated on Tuesday, Aug. 1 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Concord Library, 2900 Salvio St. The event will be held in the library meeting room, outside lawn, and the parking lot. There will be activities for kids and grown-ups such as free ice cream and cotton candy, face painting, a bike rodeo, Concord Police K9 demonstrations, East Bay Parks mobile visitor center, and more. Fun games and books will be available for kids as well. For more information, contact the library staff at (925) 646-5455.

Various neighborhood associations in Concord will also host National Night Out celebrations. The 34th annual event encourages police-community partnerships that foster safer places to live and build a sense of community. Millions of neighbors in 16,000 communities from all 50 states take part in this positive opportunity by hosting festivals, cookouts, and block parties.
