Concord Parks & Recreation Showcase October 21


Bring the family to work out and view free demonstrations by experienced City of Concord class instructors on Saturday, Oct. 21 at Todos Santos Plaza from 10:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Parks & Recreation staff will be on hand to answer questions on all Parks & Recreation programs and classes.

"Have you been wondering how to improve your health, have fun while exercising or just looking for a place to meet new friends?" asks Parks and Rec Program Coordinator Sarah Jackson. "This is the perfect opportunity to sample a variety of classes and choose the one that is right for you or a family member." The event also includes free give-aways and raffles.

The program for the day includes the following demonstrations:
10:20 - 10:50am  Folk Dance by Jaime Cader (adults)
11:00- 11:30am   Yoga for Health & Aging by Elizabeth Bronson, RYT 200 (adults)
11:30am - 12pm  Taichizen & Kung Fu by Ping Zhen Cheng (adults)
12 noon - 1pm     Zumba by Cynthia, Elisa, Mia, Rosy, Sepi and Zelia (adults)
1:10 - 1:45pm      Ballet by Luana Avalos Nietschy (children and adults)
1:40 - 2:25pm      K.O. Taekwondo by Kevin Oliver (children and adults)
2:30 - 3:00pm      Tai Chi & Push Hands by Amy Erez (adults)
3:00 - 3:30pm      Fusion & Ballroom by Judi Corey (adults)
