Coordinate the City's monitoring efforts in the implementation of the required mitigation measure and conditions of approval for development projects, including City projects when applicable. Coordinate the acquisition of rights-of-way and rights-of-entry related to City capital projects. Prepare grant applications.

Review and inspect land developments for compliance with applicable engineering standards, codes and laws; and administer the City's Grading Ordinance, Floodplain Management Ordinance, and Encroachment Ordinance.

Encroachments in the Public Right-of-Way
Oversee the City's Encroachment Ordinance for any activity within a public right-of-way or easement. Review and process encroachment permit applications for compliance with all applicable Federal, State and City requirements and related engineering standards.

Stormwater Pollution Prevention
Review, condition, process and inspect proposed public works construction for compliance with the Federal Cleanwater Act and the City's Stormwater Management, Grading and Erosion Control Ordinance. Enforce best management practices to minimize erosion and pollutants from entering the stormwater system.

Floodplain Management
Review proposed construction in FEMA-defined special flood hazard areas for compliance with Federal and City requirements to minimize the risk to property and the public due to flooding. Review and process requests to FEMA for changes to the existing floodplain. Issue floodzone verification certificates for property owners, realtors and insurance companies.

Public Information
Provide a single point of contact for public information related to public right-of-way and all public improvements, including streets, sidewalks, stormdrains, sewers, signals and lighting.
