Membership Requirements: Residents of Concord who hold no other municipal office in the City of Concord.

Example of Duties: Develop and maintain the General Plan of the Concord Planning Area; develop specific plans as may be necessary; make recommendations to the City Council regarding proposed General Plan amendments and municipal code modifications, review planned district developments, tentative subdivision maps, and use permit applications.

Meeting Times and Places: 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber, 1950 Parkside Drive. Meetings are taped and televised on Channel 28 (Comcast) or Channel 29 (Seren/Astound!) on the first and third Thursday. Study sessions are held in the Permit Center Conference Room at 6:00 p.m. preceding most regular Planning Commission meetings.

Conflict of Interest Requirements: The State of California Political Reform Act requires Planning Commission members to disclose interests in investments, real property, and income derived within the City of Concord or from sources doing business within the City of Concord. Filings are required within 10 days of assuming office and on an annual basis.

Compensation: Planning Commission members receive $50 per regular or special meetings for a maximum of six meetings per month. (Resolution No. 85-9)
