Community Grants
Using Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, City general funds, and Child Care Developer Fee funds, the City of Concord provides grants to qualified nonprofit and public agencies that offer essential public and human services, decent housing, economic opportunities, aid in the prevention of slums and blight and address urgent community needs such as disaster relief.
Community Resources
For assistance, consult this list of community resources available in the Greater Concord area might help. Resources listed include referral information for community services available through Contra Costa County and local non-profit agencies for such areas as childcare, disabilities, health and wellness, housing assistance, public transportation and the Monument Corridor.
Senior Services
The Concord Senior Center joins with other agencies and organizations to expand a variety of services to meet the needs of seniors in the Concord area. Human service providers are coordinated and facilitated through the Center staff.
Services include financial advice, legal aid, social and recreational services, health and wellness, human services, education and referrals to information and assistance which can be scheduled in person, by telephone or on the Internet.

Distributed annually to residents living in the Monument Corridor, the Southern District Information Guide provides bilingual information about activities and resources offered by the Community & Recreation Services department.
