Exterior Enhancement Rebate Program
What is an Exterior Enhancement Rebate?
The City of Concord Housing Division is offering rebates up to $2,000 for exterior improvements to your home. Rebate funds are limited and applications will be provided on a first come first-served basis. Those improvements could include:
- Exterior painting
- Replacement of existing fencing
- Roof repairs or replacement
- Improvements to front yard landscaping
- Driveway repair or replacement
How do you receive a rebate?
- Complete application
- Receive City inspection and City pre-approval of work
- Work completed, then inspected and approved by City
- Submittal of all original receipts or invoices to City
- Upon completion and approval, a rebate in the amount of your expenditures up to $2,000 will be made to you or your contractor within 30 days
What are the restrictions?
- Own and reside in your home located within the Concord city limits
- Combined household income does not exceed 80% of area median income
- Pre-approval from City required prior to commencement of work. Word commenced prior to required City inspection and City pre-approval will not be eligible for rebate.
- Work must be completed within 60 days of City approval (extensions may be granted)
- Property owner(s) must sign a 3-year promissory note for the rebate.
- If home is sold within three years of receiving rebate, rebate must be repaid to City, plus 3% interest per annum.
- Property owner(s) will be limited to one rebate in a 3-year period.
Income Limits
The annual family income must be no more than 80% of area median income:

For information and an application, please call the Housing Division at (925) 671-3364. Rebate funds are limited and applications will be provided on a first come first-served basis. This program has been financed through the Concord Redevelopment Agency Housing Set Aside Fund.
