Report a Crime Online
The following is a list of the types of crimes that can be reported online:
- Misc. or Non-criminal Information
- Harrassing Phone Calls
- Theft
- Lost Property
- Vehicle Burglary/Theft from Auto
- Vehicle Tampering/Vandalism
Before submitting a crime report online, please confirm that all of the following conditions are true:
- The crime is not an emergency. In case of emergency, please call 911 from a land line or (925) 671-3333 from a cell phone.
- The crime occurred within the city limits of Concord, California. Click here to check the Concord City limits.
- The crime did not occur on a state freeway. If the crime occurred on a state freeway, please contact the California Highway Patrol.
- There are no known suspects and there is no evidence that could lead to the identification of a suspect (fingerprints, video, eyewitness, cancelled checks with signatures or ID information, etc.). In the case of known suspects, or evidence that could lead to the identification of suspects, call the Community Service Desk at (925) 671-3220, or your local field office
- To report a crime that does not meet the conditions listed above, or if you wish to have an officer take your report in person, please call the Concord Police Department Community Service Desk at (925) 671-3220 or contact your local Concord Field Office (click here to find your local field office and contact info).
- If you can answer "yes" to all of the items above, then you are ready to submit your report. CAUTION: Filing a false police report is a crime.
Please note the following when filling out a police report online:
- A valid email address is required to complete your report
(Note: if you require anonymity to report this crime, please please contact the Community Service Desk at 925-671-3220). - For security purposes, and to prevent fraud, your IP address will be recorded with the report
- When filling out your report, you will be guided through the reporting process; please note that your report is not complete until you have pressed the "Complete Report" button.
- Once complete, a new window will open and show you a printable copy of your report, which will have a temporary report identification number (you may need to disable any popup blocker).
- Always print a copy of the report for yourself.
- Once submitted, your report will be entered as "Pending" and you will receive an email within three working days notifying you if the report has been accepted or rejected. The email notifying you that your report was accepted will contain the permanent Concord PD case number. If your report is rejected, you will receive a brief explanation.
