Healthy Lifestyle and Resource Fair

Friday, April 18, 2008, 10 am to 2 pm
Senior Center

In April of each year, this fair emphasizes the concept that the best formula for being and staying healthy is keeping active, eating well, and feeling good about one's self. The event highlights a number of services offered locally and showcases activities and programs conveniently offered under one roof by the Center and the community. Health screenings and informational servcies are brought on site by various groups to provide participants first-hand knowledge about local programs and services.

Good Ole Days Celebration
5th Anniversary of the Senior Center

Celebrate Life! Witness the beautiful spectrum of Concord Seniors. Come one, come all to this party that celebrates life. Patrons 90 and better are invited to have a complimentary seat at this party. Those 90 and better will receive special recognition.

Tantalize your eyes and mind with photos and stories celebrating the lives of Concord seniors. Visit the front desk for additional details on participating in the literary and photo contest.

Reception seating is limited, so please register for this free event. Refreshments will be served.

Personal and Home Safety Fair

Guest speakers covering the topics of personal and home safety. Each patron will receive a free home safety related item. Limited space available. Register early.

Hawaiian Dinner Concert

Friday, Sept. 5, 2008, 6 to 9:30 pm
Centre Concord

You and your family are invited to the 7th annual Hawaiian Fusion event at the Centre Concord. This taste of Hawaii includes an authentic Hawaiian buffet dinner and concert, auction, and hula show. Doors open at 5:30 pm with no host cocktails. This event is co-sponsored by the Senior Center and Meals on Wheels by Senior Outreach Services. This enjoyable evening will raise funds for senior center scholarship program, care management, home chore and volunteer programs.

Flu Shot Clinic

Last Tuesday in October, 9 to 11 am

Each year the County Health Department provides influenza and pneumonia shots. 2008 shot fees TBA.

Holiday Gift & Craft Fair

December 6, 2008, 9 am - 2 pm

The Center sponsors an annual Gift and Craft Fair in Cecember featuring unique hand-crafted gift items and delicious homemade goodies. Holiday shopping ne eds may be fulfilled without the crowds and swamped parking lots.

December is the time to catch the jolly spirit, enjoy live holiday-themed performances, delve into sweet treats and sip on hot chocolate.

Breakfast with Santa

The whole family can enjoy a jolly visit from Santa! There will be a variety of holiday crafts to make with your child(ren) while waiting for their visit with Santa himself!

Mrs. Claus' Gift Boutique will be open for the children to buy gifts at a reduced price up to $7) for all those special people in their lives - Mom, Dad, sister, brother, Grandma or Grandpa! A wrapping corner will be available to wrap up those special gifts. The Boutique will have available great handmade gifts, baskets, homemade treats, trinkets, books and more!
