Gallery Concord

Winter Spectrum Show

Gallery ConcordAt the beginning of 2010, Gallery Concord announces its newest show, "New Beginnings", which will run from January 7, 2010 – March 28, 2010. Opening night reception is Friday, Jan. 8 (6:00 – 8:00pm). Light refreshments and beverages will be served and music will be provided by the Dana Street Trio.

New Beginnings will feature Gallery Concord artist Janet Walton, who loves the way watercolor can convey realistic detail and still retain a soft, transparent quality. Her inspiration comes from the beauty around her whether it is nature, animals or people. Her goal is to make the viewer look deeper at a subject and appreciate the beauty not at first apparent. She also enjoys creating situations and settings which may not seem plausible at first. Attached are two of her paintings: Out of Darkness and Pink Rhodie.

Gallery ConcordOur guest artists will be Karen Flamme, a fiber artist whose work displays vibrant color and innovative design and Lucy Beazley, a figurative ceramic sculptor. Also showing will be all the Gallery Concord Members with different styles of watercolor paintings.
