SEPTEMBER 18, 2023

Radius Earthwork continued to adjust utility covers and manholes throughout the neighborhood last week on Glendside Drive, Hillside Avenue, Carmel Drive, Revere Drive, Glenside Drive, Highland Drive, Brook Street, Knoll Drive, Vargas Court, and Overhill Road.

This week, they are planning to complete the remainder of the paving work on Avon Avenue and Hillside Avenue between Overhill Road and Solano Way. The contractor will also continue to adjust utility covers and manholes throughout the neighborhood, primarily focusing on Overhill Road. Following the completion of paving operations, the contractor will begin to work on striping the newly paved streets.

SEPTEMBER 11, 2023

Last week, Radius Earthwork completed the paving work along Glenbrook Court, Knoll Drive, and Vargas Court. They also worked on adjusting utility covers and manholes throughout the neighborhood, focusing on Glenside Drive, Hillside Avenue, Carmel Drive, Revere Drive, Glenside Drive, Highland Drive, and Brook Street.

They are planning to continue to adjust utilities to grade this week along the freshly paved streets in the neighborhood. They will also continue to prepare the roadway for the proposed paving along Avon Avenue and Hillside Avenue between Overhill Road and Solano Way, which is expected to be paved early next week.

SEPTEMBER 5, 2023

The contractor, Radius Earthwork, was able to complete the asphalt paving work along Overhill Road last week, spanning from Hilltop Road to Grant Street. They were also able to form and pour the new concrete sidewalk along Avon Avenue and the new bulb-out curb ramps at the Overhill Road and Hillside Avenue intersection. 

This week, the contractor is planning to complete the remainder of the proposed paving along Glenbrook Court, Knoll Drive, and Vargas Court. Following the street paving, the contractor will be adjusting utility covers and manholes in the newly paved streets.

AUGUST 28, 2023

Last week, Radius Earthwork was able to pave the streets along Highland Drive, La Salle Avenue, Glenside Drive, Glenside Court, Carmel Drive, Hillside Avenue, Revere Drive, and Brook Street. They also continued to work on the proposed concrete work, forming the sidewalk and curb ramp along Avon Avenue, and constructing the storm drain manhole and catch basin at the intersection of Overhill Road and Hillside Avenue. 

They will be working on completing the remaining concrete improvements along Avon Avenue and at the intersection of Overhill Road and Hillside Avenue this week. Radius Earthwork is also planning to continue with its paving operations and is scheduled to pave Glenbrook Court, Knoll Drive, Vargas Court, and Overhill Road this week. Please be mindful of any ‘No Parking’ signs posted throughout the neighborhood. All residents will still be able to access their driveways during construction activities.

AUGUST 22, 2023

Radius Earthwork completed the remaining portion of paving on Heaton Circle last week. The majority of their work consisted of adjusting utilities and manholes to grade on Hilltop Road, Gillet Avenue, and Loma Vista Avenue and continuing with concrete work at the bulb-outs and sidewalks along Overhill Road.

This week, the contractor is planning to continue with their paving operations throughout the neighborhood. They are currently planning to pave Highland Drive, La Salle Avenue, Glenside Drive, Glenside Court, Carmel Drive, Hillside Avenue, Revere Drive, and Brook Street. Please be mindful of any ‘No Parking’ signs posted throughout the neighborhood. All residents will still be able to access their driveways during construction activities.

AUGUST 15, 2023

Last week, Radius Earthwork was able to perform paving operations on Hilltop Road, Gillet Avenue, Loma Vista Avenue, Solano Court, Heaton Circle, and Heaton Court, consisting of dig-out repairs, wedge grinds, and asphalt paving. They also continued to work on the concrete curb ramps and were able to pour ramps along Overhill Road and Heaton Circle. 

The contractor is anticipated to complete the remainder of the paving on Heaton Circle early this week. They will also be adjusting utilities and manholes on Hilltop Road, Gillet Avenue, and Loma Vista Avenue throughout the week. Additionally, they will be continuing to work on forming and pouring the curb ramps along Overhill Road.

August 7, 2023

Radius Earthwork continued to work on the proposed concrete improvements throughout the neighborhood last week. This work included demolishing, forming, and pouring curb ramps, curbs, and gutters on Overhill Road and Heaton Circle. They also installed new storm drain inlets along Overhill Road at the new bulb-out locations.

This week, the contractor is planning to continue with their concrete work along Overhill Road. The are also planning to complete paving work on Hilltop Road, Gillet Avenue, Loma Vista Avenue, Heaton Circle, and Solano Court. Please be mindful of any “No Parking” restrictions on the streets proposed to be paved this week. All residents will still be able to access their homes and driveways during construction hours.

July 31, 2023

Throughout last week, Radius Earthwork was able to complete the proposed paving work along Avon Avenue, Clyde Avenue, Randall Avenue, Foskett Avenue, and Estates Drive. Their crews were also able to continue to work on the concrete improvements work along Overhill Road and Glenside Drive. 

Radius Earthwork is anticipated to continue with their concrete operations this week. They will continue to demolish, form, and pour the proposed curb ramps, valley gutters, and sidewalk improvements, primarily along Overhill Road, with some work also occurring on Glenside Drive and Heaton Circle.

July 24, 2023

Radius Earthwork continued to work on the concrete improvements throughout the neighborhood last week. This included demolishing, forming, and pouring curb ramps along Overhill Road, Glenside Drive, and Hillside Avenue. 

This week, the contractor is planning to start paving operations along Avon Avenue, Clyde Avenue, Randall Avenue, Foskett Avenue, and Estates Drive. Please be mindful of the ‘No Parking’ restrictions posted along the streets in this area. Along with the paving, Radius Earthwork, will continue to work on the proposed concrete work, including the construction of curb ramps and sidewalks along Overhill Road and Glenside Drive.

July 17, 2023

 Last week, Radius Earthwork continued to demolish, form, and pour concrete curb ramps along Overhill Road, Estates Drive, Carmel Drive, Glenside Drive, and the ramp at the frontage of the Floyd I. Marchus School along Avon Avenue.  

They are anticipated to continue with their proposed curb ramp work throughout the week. Radius Earthwork will mainly be working on the curb ramps on Overhill Road on the eastern side of the project and on the ramps along Glenside Drive. 

July 10, 2023

Radius Earthwork continued the demolition and construction of the new concrete curb ramps along Overhill Road, Foskett Avenue, Estates Drive, and Hillside Avenue last week. They also were able to demolish and pour the new valley gutter at the intersection of Overhill Road and Foskett Avenue.

This week, they are planning to continue to work on the concrete curb ramps along Overhill Road, Estates Drive, Carmel Drive, Glenside Drive, and the ramp at the frontage of Floyd I. Marchus School on Avon Avenue.

Last week, Radius Earthwork continued to demolish, form, and pour concrete for the new curb ramps along Avon Avenue, Foskett Avenue, Estates Drive, Hillside Avenue, and Overhill Road.

They are planning to continue with their proposed curb ramp work throughout the neighborhood this week. They’re anticipated to be working at the curb ramps along Hillside Avenue, Heaton Circle, Overhill Road, Carmel Drive, and Glenside Drive.

JUNE 26, 2023

Radius Earthwork completed potholing activities and continued to demolish, form, and pour concrete for the proposed curb ramps along Gillet Avenue, Loma Vista, Avon Avenue, and Clyde Avenue last week. They have completed or partially demolished many of the new curb ramps between Hilltop Road and Foskett Avenue. The currently demolished ramps are anticipated to be poured this week.

The contractor is anticipating to continue with their concrete work of demolishing, forming, and pouring new curb ramps along Gillet Avenue, Overhill Road, Avon Avenue, Foskett Avenue, Estates Drive, and Hillside Avenue throughout the week.

JUNE 20, 2023

Last week the contractor, Radius Earthwork, was able to perform their potholing work to locate existing utilities within the neighborhood. They also started working on the proposed concrete work along Hilltop Road, including sidewalks, curb ramps, and concrete around the replaced storm drainage inlet. Work continued with concrete demolition and placing formwork for the proposed curb ramps along Gillet Avenue.

This week the contractor is anticipating to continue to demolish concrete, place formwork, and pour concrete to construct the new curb ramps along Gillet Avenue, Loma Vista Avenue, Foskett Avenue, and Avon Avenue.

june 13, 2023

The Pavement Maintenance – Zone 5J – City Project No. 2526, was authorized to begin construction on Monday, June 12, 2023. The project will involve pavement maintenance consisting of overlay and dig-out repairs in the residential neighborhood south of Hillcrest Community Park and north of Solano Way. Work will also include curb ramp upgrades to meet accessibility standards, sidewalk gap closures, bulb-outs, curb and gutter repairs, restriping, and the addition of a Class III bike route on Avon Avenue from Solano Way to the trail connection at the Hillcrest Community Park.

The first order of work with be utility investigations and potholing at various locations throughout the neighborhood. The contractor is also anticipated to begin concrete work at the curb ramps along Hilltop Road later this week. Please be aware of the temporary No Parking signs located along Hilltop Road.

The project is anticipated to be complete by November 2023, weather permitting.
