Police Activities League
Mission
The Concord Police Activities League (PAL) was formed to help bring youth under the supervision and constructive influence of responsible adult role models, including police officers, through a variety of sports, educational and recreational activities, to serve as an effective and powerful antidote to juvenile delinquency. Active participation should impact desirable educational, social and personal values; development of a positive self-image; learning of successful interpersonal skills and other life skills that mitigate against the occurrence of juvenile delinquency.

Sports & Recreation Activities for Youth
At this time Concord PAL is comprised of a Board of Directors who is committed to maintaining a connection to community youth either in their professional capacities or through the School Resource Officers assigned to area high schools. The Board meets monthly to make decisions on sponsorship of monetary awards to area athletes that are in need of assistance with sports program fees or individual equipment needs. The Board is equally interested in sponsoring trips outside of athletics for youth as volunteers are identified.
Concord PAL does not run competitive sports league (such as baseball, basketball, football, soccer, etc.) due to the numerous leagues already in the Concord area. Please check the telephone dictionary for those services. You may also want to contact the City of Concord Parks and Recreation Department at 925-603-5826 for information regarding their programs.

2017 Concord Junior Giants
This year we are happy to announce the Concord Jr. Giants partnership with PAL. This league provides services to children who often are not able to participate in other youth league programs due to financial restrictions. Through your contributions you will help us welcome more than 200 children from our community this summer, teaching not only the fundamentals of baseball, but also the importance of respect, team work, violence prevention, and the value of a healthy lifestyle. Register for the Jr. Giants program online or you can call 925-671-5887. For more information email the Concord Jr. Giants.
Concord PAL Sponsors
Concord PAL appreciates all contributions received to help us provide services to youth in our community. If you would like to help be a sponsor, please contact our Chair, Officer Michael Jaime or the Concord Police Department. Thank you!
