Bay Area SunShares Program

SunSharesSolar. Simple. Together

The City of Concord teamed-up with the nonprofit Business Council on Climate Change (BC3) and other Bay Area cities and organizations to launch an exciting solar and electric vehicle group-purchasing (bulk buy) program for residents and employees within Concord.

Called "Bay Area SunShares," the program pools the buying power of individual participants to get more competitive pricing from solar companies and electric vehicle dealerships, making going green even easier and more affordable than ever for residents.

Tax Credit

Bay Area SunShares is a limited opportunity program that is available for a limited time in the fall of each year (September 1, 2022-November 15, 2022). In addition, the Federal Residential Renewable Energy Tax Credit is still available, providing an additional incentive of up to 30% off the installed cost of the solar system. This tax credit is available through December 31, 2034.

So, take the challenge and sign-up with Bay Area SunShares to receive a no cost, no obligation solar site evaluation, a discount code for electric vehicle dealerships, and more information.
