BUSINESS LICENSES
A business license is required to conduct business in the City of Concord. This includes:
- CSLB Certified Contractors
- Home Based Businesses*
- Independent Contractors
- Landlords, both Commercial and Residential
- Manufacturers and their Representatives
- Retail Outlets
- Self-Employed or Licensed Professionals
- Service or Delivery Companies
- Wholesalers
In addition, those conducting business in Concord from an office located outside of Concord, are required to obtain a business license.
*PLEASE NOTE: If you are a Home Based Business located in Concord, you must fill out a Home Based Business Application in addition to your Business License Application*

If your business is one of the regulated industries that requires this permit, the individual applying for or renewing their business license must demonstrate enrollment in a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) storm water permit prior to receiving their license.

- City of Concord Business License

Concord Municipal Code Sections 5.90.010 through 5.90.190 mandate that all Private Patrol Operators contracting services within the City of Concord register their company with the Chief of Police. There are no fees for this registration. However, registration along with a City of Concord Business License are required.
Registration of your company can be accomplished by contacting the Concord Police Department, Field Operations Division.
