Be A Santa To A Senior (BASTAS)
The Commission on Aging and the Concord Senior Center will host Be a Santa to a Senior (BASTAS) this December. BASTAS is a service program that provides holiday cheer to seniors who may be lonely, in financial need, and are least likely to receive gifts.
How it works
- Step 1: Starting mid-November you can find requested gift ornaments at one of the following locations:

- Step 2: Shop! Drop off your presents at the Concord Senior Center, located at 2727 Parkside Circle.
- Step 3: Join us for a wrapping event at the Concord Senior Center on December 16, 2023 from 9:00 am-11:00 am.
We also welcome hand written generic cards and letters of encouragement or fun (no politics or religion please). Seniors really enjoy cards from kids. Cards can be sent to Concord Senior Center, 1950 Parkside Dr. MS/10, Concord, CA 94519. If you prefer to drop off the card, please schedule a drop off with Concord Senior staff. Drop off location will be at the Senior Center, 2727 Parkside Circle in Baldwin Park. Mon, Tu, Th or Fri by appointment.
