[ARCHIVED] Candidate Nomination Papers Available By Appointment

Nomination papers for seats on the Concord City Council in Districts 2 and 4 will be available by appointment starting Monday, July 13.

Because the City of Concord has declared a local state of emergency due to COVID-19 and is closed to the public, candidates must make an appointment with City Clerk Joelle Fockler prior to picking up papers to review the filing process. Please call Joelle at (925) 671-3390 to schedule an appointment.

To be eligible to run for these offices, a candidate must be at least 18 years of age, a citizen of the United States, and a resident and registered voter in either District 2 or District 4.

Nomination papers must be filed with the City Clerk in person no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, August 7.

In November 2018, Concord voters participated in the City’s first district-based election, when three City Council seats were up for election in Districts 1, 3 and 5.

City Council seats in Districts 2 and 4 are up for election in November 2020. Please use our interactive map to find your district.

The 2020 General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 3.
