California has reached the unfortunate milestone of 1 million COVID-19 cases statewide. With cases and hospitalizations on the rise, Contra Costa County and other Bay Area counties are tightening local rules for high-risk indoor activities where the virus can spread more easily.
Contra Costa Health Services has issued a health order to close the following business operations, effective Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 8 a.m.:
- Indoor dining
- Indoor fitness centers
- Concession stands at movie theaters
The best ways for you to help stop the spread and stay healthy are to wear a face covering and keep your distance from people outside of your household. Frequent handwashing and staying home when you’re sick can also help protect you and others.
