[ARCHIVED] Budget Study Session Scheduled for May 11

Budget binder with spreadsheets of numbers

At its regularly scheduled May 11 Council meeting, the Concord City Council will host a budget study session and receive a report about the proposed FYs 2021-22 and 2022-23 biennial budget.

Members of the public are invited to participate via Zoom. The full agenda with log-in information is now available, and it contains links to the staff report and the full budget proposal

The City of Concord is committed to strong fiscal stewardship, transparency, and accountability over taxpayer dollars. Working together, the City Council and City staff ensure our budget and financial policies reflect spending consistent with the community’s priorities.

The proposed Biennial Operating Budget preserves vital community services and maintains current service levels. It represents an organization-wide focus on retaining the majority of the savings Council incorporated last June. As the City recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic, the proposed budget prioritizes the preservation of vital community services and the maintenance of current service levels.

Instructions for how to submit a public comment are available on the Council agenda.
