The Policy Development & Internal Operations (PD&IO) committee of the Concord City Council will hold a special meeting on Monday, Oct. 25 at 12 p.m. to discuss Contra Costa County’s redistricting efforts, which includes draft maps that would potentially split Concord into two county electoral districts.
PD&IO committee members, Mayor Tim McGallian (chair) and Vice Mayor Dominic Aliano, will meet to discuss potential implications to Concord and whether the City should submit an official comment or recommendation to the County addressing these proposals.
The PD&IO committee meeting is open to the public. To participate in the virtual meeting, please find the log-in details here on the meeting agenda here.
Please note: The City of Concord is set to begin its own redistricting efforts on Tuesday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. through a public hearing that will take place during the regularly scheduled City Council meeting.
