BART has announced it will halt train service between Concord and Pleasant Hill on four weekends between April 27 and June 9. It will offer a free bus service between the two stations during the planned track maintenance.
The service disruptions will occur on the following weekends:
April 27-28
May 11-12
May 25-27 (including Memorial Day)
June 8-9
During the closures, crews will work around the clock to replace nearly 50-year-old track, which include replacing rail, ballast, electrical and train control equipment, upgrading the drainage system and rehabilitating the platforms of the Concord Station.
Passengers traveling through Concord or Pleasant Hill will be required to leave their train and take a free bus provided by County Connection to the next station in their direction of travel. Passengers are being asked to add 20 minutes to their planned trip.
