1. What are the Engineering fees for an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU)?

Attached ADU; the sewer line can be connected to the main house.  
Detached ADU; the sewer line can be connected to the main house sewer line at the property line with a sanitary sewer clean out.

3. What are the sewer fees for a commercial property?

A Fixture Count Form is required for the commercial property; the fee for each fixture is $1,009. For the Fixture Count Form refer to Fixture Checklist.

4. What are the fees for a sewer lateral repair/removal/replacement?

Trenchless Method: $1,537.60 including the $500 refundable deposit

Open Trench Method: $2,537.60 including the $1,500 refundable deposit

For any plumbing work done in the public right-of-way, an encroachment permit is required. A permit from the Building Division is also required if any plumbing work takes place on the property.

5. How long is an encroachment permit good for?

Encroachment permits are good for 90 days from the date they are issued.

6. Who is responsible for the sidewalk within the public right-of-way?

The property owner is responsible and liable for any damaged sidewalk areas adjacent to their homes or businesses.

7. Does the City of Concord offer pilot programs for sidewalk assistance?

8. What are the fees and details for an encroachment permit for sidewalk and/or driveway approach removal and replacement?

9. What is the fee for an extension of a Utility, Grading, and Encroachment permit?

The cost is $173.49 and the permit can be extended anywhere from 30, 60, to an additional 90 days. After that you will have to speak to a supervisor.

10. What are the fees for converting from septic tank to sewer?

11. Is an encroachment permit required for work on a private driveway?

If the driveway is within the private property there will be no permit/fees from the Engineering Division.

12. How much does a POD/dumpster permit cost and how long is it good for?

The cost of the permit is $333 and it is good for one week.

13. Do I need a permit for a new pool or to demolish an existing pool?

Yes, a grading permit is required for both. You will also need a permit from the Building Division. Here are the fees:
